Internationalized (accentuated) and standard domain names
HNI as an official domain name registrar and member of the Council of Hungarian Internet Providers has registered several thousand Hungarian (.hu ending) and a number of international (.com, .org, .net, etc.) domain names.
We are accepting applications for internationalized (accentuated) domain names. More information is available here.
Customers pay a yearly fee in one installment in advance.
The fee includes:
- Cost of registration and related administration
- Cost of administration related to domain maintenance
- Price of DNS service (two name servers)
- One email address (alias) for domain name
Steps of registration
Please follow these steps:-

Print and sign the domain name registration contract

If you are submitting a priority application, make photocopies of supporting documents.
An application can have priority for delegation directly under the .hu public domain if the selected domain name:
a) has the same series of characters as specified as the full or abbreviated name for the entity stated in the document evidencing the official registration of the Applicant entity with the authorities (public administration or court) or in the statute for entities established by virtue of law, or;
b) is the trademark as a series of characters (word, words) registered in favor of the Applicant or in favor of the beneficiary party authorizing the Applicant (the full text protected of textual trademarks or the full text shown on the illustration of graphical trademarks). -
Send these documents to HNI by postal mail or by fax. The mailing address is Budapest , Szépvölgyi út 39., 2/2., H-1037, Hungary ; the fax number is (+36 1) 242-0438. You may want to send the letter as a registered delivery.
Fees for services
These fees are valid from 1 January, 2006 to 30 June, 2006, for new domain name registrations only.

Special Offer
If you register at least 3 accentuated domain names belonging to the same .hu domain name, you get the fourth (next) one for free.
Conditions:
- Complete rules for the Hungarian domain name registration can be found at http://www.domain.hu/. Information about the internationalized (accentuated) domain names can be found at the clause of the rule.
- Our fees are not divisible. Should the applicant need only some of these services, the fee will not be reduced. Nor will the fee be reduced for partial year services.
- The fee has to be paid at the very latest 48 hours before the registration. HNI issues an invoice before payment is required.
- Should the registration unexpectedly fail, HNI refunds the fee with a HUF 2,000+VAT reduction to cover administrative costs.
- Applicants must sign a contract in order to be able to register domain names with HNI. The application form and supporting documents (as needed) are also required at the time of contracting.
